Current Rules for Chicken Keeping:

Long Beach:  Coop with maximum 20 chickens (non-crowing) 50 feet from a neighbor's house

Long Beach Proposed Code Changes:  currently being updated

Los Angeles:  unlimited number of hens, one rooster 100 feet from a neighbors home

Pasadena:

Whittier:

There are many cities working on becoming more chicken friendly in the nation and just around the corner including Long Beach, Whittier and Pasadena.
